HYDRAPLAS - Self Cleaning for Plastic


One of its kind nano-coating for plastic surfaces like ABS, Polycarbonate, etc. Once coated, the water forms tiny droplets and rolls out the surface and does not spread to a uniform film even though plastic is already non-absorbent for any liquids. The coating creates a thin invisible barrier that prevents dirt and other foreign matter from adhering to the surface.

Most of the dirt along with the water is effectively removed from the surface immediately, which means that the cleaning intervals are longer and the cleaning of the plastic surface is much easier and time-consuming.

The line is documented for engineering plastics such as ABS and PC where the datasheet lists approved substrates and preparation. Always confirm your exact grade, fillers, and co-molded materials with ANTLAB before you specify for production.

Surfaces can shed water and routine soils more readily so wipe or rinse cycles shorten versus untreated polymer in comparable conditions. It is not a substitute for incompatible chemistry or mechanical damage; duty still follows part geometry and contamination type.

Plasticizers, mold release, silicone residues, and some paint or hardcoat systems can block bonding. Clean according to the TDS, run coupon tests, and document surface energy before you scale.

Use controlled coupons on production-intent plastic, then pilot lanes with inspection criteria from the datasheet. Bring ANTLAB your material cards and cleaning protocol so expectations match test data.
